A little more about this truly fantastic organization:

Knoxville Fire Fighters Association President Kevin Faddis presents $45,000 in checks to local programs. Organizations include:

  • Camp Phoenix providing a fun safe place for young burn victims to learn how to accept what has happened
  • Red Cross- disaster relief for East Tennessee families affected by house fires
  • University of Tennessee Cancer Center- for cancer research and treatment due to the increased risk of cancer for fire fighters based on working conditions.
  • Ronald McDonald House- to help families of young children getting treatment here locally for serious illnesses. It helps with the overwhelming expenses of being away from home and work for extended amounts of time for their child’s treatment.
  • Make-A-Wish Foundation- donated $20,000 to help grant over 30 wishes for children across the region suffering from serious or critical illnesses.
